Overview

Ember FIRE is an offline-first personal finance planning app for Android. The app is designed to help users track financial progress toward Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE).

Ember FIRE is designed so that user-entered data is stored primarily on the user's device. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app.

Information the App Processes

Depending on how you use Ember FIRE, the app may process information that you enter directly, including:

• Profile and planning information
• Account balances and account details
• Income and expense entries
• Goals, assumptions, and review data
• App settings and preferences
• Optional device protection settings such as PIN or biometric unlock preferences

This information is stored locally on your device as part of the app's normal operation.

How Data Is Used

Ember FIRE uses your information to provide app features, including:

• Displaying dashboards, calculators, goals, and progress
• Generating local reminders and notifications
• Supporting optional app security features
• Creating backup files and PDF exports when you request them
• Updating the Android home screen widget when enabled

Data Sharing

Ember FIRE does not share your personal data with Fate Studio or other third parties for advertising or analytics.

The app may share data only when you explicitly choose to export or share files using Android system features, such as:

• Exported backup files
• Encrypted backup files
• Exported PDF review reports

Any sharing of exported files is initiated by you.

Data Collection by the Developer

Ember FIRE is designed so that Fate Studio does not collect your financial entries, account information, goals, or other in-app personal data from the app during normal use.

If you contact us for support by email, we may receive the information you choose to include in your message.

Notifications

If you enable reminders or notifications, Ember FIRE may create local notifications on your device. These notifications are generated locally for app functionality and are not used for advertising.

Security

Ember FIRE includes optional privacy and security features such as:

• Device PIN protection
• Biometric unlock on supported devices
• Secure-screen protection on supported Android devices
• Optional encrypted backup export

No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to limit unnecessary data exposure by keeping app data local where possible.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because Ember FIRE stores data primarily on your device, you control most retention and deletion of your data.

You can delete your data by:

• Using in-app reset or clear features, where available
• Clearing the app's storage in Android settings
• Deleting exported files you created
• Uninstalling the app

If you email us directly, we may retain that correspondence as needed to respond to your request or for recordkeeping.

Children

Ember FIRE is not directed to children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
